Each team is given pre-baked gingerbread slabs to assemble their structure, as well as pre-made biscuit figures such as gingerbread men, tress and reindeer.

Teams then use royal icing to stick the pieces together and piping nozzles, sweeties, toppings and glitter to make their gingerbread building into an edible winter wonderland!

Our expert demonstrators will be there to give advice, tips and techniques so that each guest can create something spectacular as well as learning professional icing skills to use back home in the kitchen.

They can learn professional skills and techniques such as how to use piping bags and nozzles to create different effects including piped writing, shells, flowers and patterns as well as sugarcraft techniques like how to cover cookies with fondant, how to use icing cutters and plungers and how to make sugarcraft decorations, sugar flowers or figures.

As a fun bonus task we can also share our "hacks" to make icing at home easier and can give simple yet effective design ideas such as the fun "melting snowman cookie", ideas for cookie sticks and how to transform the humble gingernut into a work of art!

This event can be held as a competition, with a prize for the winner, or can be run as a relaxing workshop where the reward is for everyone to learn skills and take home their creations.
