Each team will have their own cook station, with mini oven, recipe sheets and all the equipment they will need. Our expert chefs will be there to give advice, tips and techniques, so everyone can be confident that they can achieve something delicious.

Just like on Bake Off, teams are given 3 different challenges:

"Signature Bake" Scones

An afternoon tea classic. Teams bake a selection of scones.

"Technical Challenge" Bread & Butter

Teams get technical by attempting a yeast risen loaf. They must master kneading, proving and knocking back their dough and can then choose to make a classic square tin loaf, a round cob, bread rolls or they can really get creative by plaiting or shaping their dough. They then make their own homemade hand-churned butter!

"Showstopper" Fondant Fancies

Teams make a selection of beautifully iced fondant fancies and show their sugarcraft skills by creating handmade edible decorations.

This event can be held as a competition, with a prize for the winning team, or can be run as a relaxing collaborative event where the reward is for everyone to share and enjoy their treats together!

As a fun conclusion to the activity, guests can slice and butter their bread and lay out their scones and cakes in a display fit for a vintage tea party! Bakes can then be judged, winners announced, and guests can then socialise whilst enjoying their tea. Leftovers can then be boxed up and enjoyed at home.
